Franco Gabbrielli

The excellence of Italian leather goods: vision, ethics, and innovation.

Franco Gabbrielli is one of the most authoritative voices in high-end Italian leather goods. A designer and entrepreneur with a keen sensory perception, he has forged a path that combines craftsmanship, innovation, and sustainability, redefining the very concept of the bag as an object of conscious design.

In 2000, he founded Gabs, a brand that revolutionized the industry with a simple yet brilliant idea: transformable, versatile, colorful bags that adapt to different styles and moments. Gabs quickly became an icon of creative Made in Italy, recognizable for its button mechanisms, exposed zippers, and playful, free-spirited identity.

In 2016, Gabbrielli sold the company to dedicate himself to a new mission: to enhance the entire Italian leather goods sector, promoting its quality, production ethics, and artisanal excellence.

A professional in the industry, Gabbrielli held the position of President of Asso-Pellettieri, the association representing the best brands in the industry at the national and international level. In this role, he led strategic initiatives for internationalization, sustainability, and the education of new generations.

More recently, Gabbrielli served as President of MIPEL, the most important international leather goods fair, transforming it into a global showcase for Made in Italy.

A visionary figure and a point of reference for the entire fashion and accessories industry, Franco Gabbrielli continues with the RERERI project to advance a vision of beautiful, fair, and responsible fashion, where design meets respect for people, materials, and the planet.

Pierotucci & RERERI

Artisan tradition and shared vision:
The first RERERI Leather Experience opens in Florence

In the heart of Florence, a few steps from Piazza della Signoria, the first RERERI experiential store opens, the result of an excellent partnership between Franco Gabbrielli and the historic artisan company Pierotucci, led by Marco and Matteo Tucci.

Founded in the early 1970s, Pierotucci is an international point of reference for the production of 100% Made in Italy leather goods .

The 300 square meter retail boutique, housed inside the historic Palazzo Gondi, offers elegant and contemporary design leather jackets, bags and smalls accessories, while the heart of the company has its headquarters and production center situated just outside the city of Florence.
A prime location 10 km from the boutique is the 1,000 square meter leather factory, where every phase from cutting to sewing is carried out in-house according to the highest standards and traditions of Florentine leatherworking.

Impeccable workmanship, top-quality Tuscan leathers , and a family spirit make Pierotucci an emblem of authentic and sustainable craftsmanship .

These shared values have given rise to a deep and strategic collaboration with Franco Gabbrielli, an iconic figure in Italian leather goods. Together, they have created the RERERI project: a brand that redefines the idea of a bag, combining recycled materials, modular design , immersive experience , and human value .

Pierotucci is now RERERI's official production and distribution partner, ensuring artisanal quality, supply chain control, and industrial capacity. Gabbrielli, meanwhile, oversees the creative and strategic direction, managing design, visual identity, and communications.

This synergy led to the opening of the first RERERI Leather Experience: a space where bags aren't bought ready-made, but created together. Customers enter the boutique, meet the Designer Assistant, select models, leathers, and finishes, and actively participate in the process in an open laboratory designed to engage, excite, and tell a story.

The union between heritage and innovation, between manufacturing and vision, between tradition and sustainable revolution, makes RERERI and Pierotucci one of the most interesting collaborations in the Italian fashion scene.

"Made in Store", made in Florence.

From the Pierotucci boutique, a new idea of fashion is born: personal, conscious, artisanal.
